I have the best friends and family... Take a look!!!

My friend Karen has sent me many gifts over the last couple of months and I'd like to share them... She is in my DTC group and is another "single momma" waiting to meet her daughter.... She spent some time visiting family in Singapore over the holidays and picked up these lovely gifts for me... She is so thoughtful and it overwhelms me with how generous she is. And it always comes at such an appropriate time... just when I need the pick-me up!!



This is a box full of Chinese New Year toys for a child... so cute!




This one made me cry... My girls name, & mine, in a beautiful pencil drawing of Chinese calligraphy... I can't wait to get these framed and hung on the wall! Thank you Karen... you are tooo thoughtful!! click it to see it big!



And these she sent a couple of months back... and I forgot to post them.... She made this amazing bracelet! SOOOO talented you are Karen!!!

And now... Pressies from my Mother.

She made this bracelet for Julia a couple of weeks ago. I cried, yes again!! You can't see it from my terrible photography but besides the ladybugs.. it has her initials in white gold... click it for a closer view!!



And this doll...

A little background... I saw this doll the first day that I started my job at the baby boutique. It's a Madame Alexander Asian "pussycat" doll. I fell in love with her. I would take her out and stroke her hair and love her every free second I had. Well one day I went into work (back in June of 07) and she was gone. I searched the store for her frantically. I asked everyone if they had sold her. Not that I could afford to buy her... but she was mine and she was gone. My boss, (my mothers BFF) told me she could always re-order her, but I informed her that she was discontinued and the new replacement just wasn't the same. I was sad, but got over it eventually. Well to my surprise, as I began opening my X-mas presents, there was the familiar MA box. My heart skipped as I opened it and saw my babydoll. My boss had sneakly taken her home and given her to my mother to give me for X-mas.... here she is!!! She is a soft bodied doll that will be PERFECT for my girl.. I can't wait to hand her over!!

Nov & Dec SP Gifts Arrived!!!!

I was so excited when I came home today to find TWO very large boxes on my doorstep. I felt a little bad for Mr. Postman, as I live in a third floor walk-up, and he hauled them all the way up there, but that feeling passed all too quickly as I tore into the boxes!!! LOL!

The first box contained the most FUN and ADORABLE and USEFUL gift... here it is:

An adorable storage box to one day hold all of my girl's fun dress up clothes... and then this for inside...

The cutest little dress-up outfit, complete with butterfly wings! I can't wait for the day when she is dancing around the house in this!!

Then, I thought for a second that maybe I should wait to open December's box, but nah.... I was having too much fun!


This box contained everything we will need for many fun days in the kitchen... A Fun With Me Baking Set, complete with mixing bowl, baking tools, cookie cutters and a chef's hat & apron. Also was a package of Mommy & Me matching aprons, pot holders and oven mitts in Mommy size and Mini size!!!

Everything is so cute, I LOVE IT!!!! Thank you so much, SP!!! I wish my terrible photography did better justice to the gifts!!

I also just realized I never posted October... And that I didn't take a photo.... I will get on that, but I did receive an adorable Orange & Black Halloween outfit with hair clippies to match and a cute stuffed witch that cackles, and they were packaged in a cute little Halloween bag that can be used for trick or treating!!! Thank you SP!!!

My Secret Pal strikes again!!! I love this adorable Flowers & Kitty outfit. Brown and Pink are my favorite colors... I Love it. And there was also a really cute gift set that included a Piggy Bank, Picture Frame and keepsake box. Pink with Butterflies... So very cute!!!

My Secret pal is Awesome!!! These are the gifts I received for my first month in the exchange. 2 books, Raggedy Ann & Andy & Little Red Riding Hood. A Beautiful picture frame, a Ladybug purse and a set of ladybug containers. SO CUTE. I love this whole gift exchange. It gives you something to look forward to besides the pathetic referral numbers!!

First post and getting caught up...

I wanted to start a separate page where I can keep track of all the beautiful things that Julia has already received. So this first post will just be a "get caught up" and put everything she already has onto the page. From then on I will be able to post as gifts are bought and received. That way she will have a scrapbook of sorts to show all of the wonderful things people have bought for her. I will also use this page to put up pictures of a nursery (that is when I actually decide on what I want and then start it!!)
